Innersloth, the team that brought us Among Us, has just dropped a thrilling update for fans: Among Us 3D. This soon-to-launch title shifts the beloved 2D gameplay into a full-blown, first-person 3D adventure. Players will dive into the same sneaky tasks and clever deception, but now with a totally new viewpoint.

Expanding on the groundwork of Among Us VR, which hit the scene in 2022 but didn’t quite soar like the original, Among Us 3D aims to reach a broader crowd. While VR continues to evolve, it’s still finding its footing against consoles and PCs. This new 3D version makes the first-person vibe accessible to all PC players—no extra gear required—and even lets them team up with VR players on platforms like Meta Quest, Steam VR, PlayStation VR 2, and PICO.

Want a taste of what’s coming? A demo of Among Us 3D will drop during Steam Next Fest, kicking off February 24, 2025. It’s the perfect chance to explore the revamped 3D world and get a feel for the updated mechanics. The full release date is still under wraps, but it’s expected to land on Steam soon. Take a peek at the trailer below!

Fun fact: those little characters we love? They’re apparently called “beans.” I just found out, and honestly, it makes them even cuter.

On top of the fresh perspective, Among Us 3D brings “stardust,” a new in-game currency you can earn to snag cosmetic goodies. No worries about paywalls here—stardust won’t unlock game modes or features, so everyone gets the same core experience. The classic 2D version isn’t going anywhere either, though it won’t cross-play with the 3D edition. This keeps both games true to their roots, letting players pick their favorite way to play.

Among Us 3D promises a captivating twist on the teamwork-and-treachery formula for newcomers and seasoned impostors alike. Are you planning to give it a spin?
